Remittances from overseas Pakistanis in first six months of FY18 rose 2.5pc

(Web Desk) – Revised statistics concerning remittances sent back to Pakistan in first half of the fiscal year 2017-18 showed on Wednesday that the funds amounted to $9.744 billion from July 2017 to December 2017.

The amount rose by 2.5 percent in 2017 from the same period of 2016 as in FY 2016-17, remittances were recorded $9.505 billion.

Reportedly, December 2017 inflow from overseas Pakistanis rose 9.3 percent and December 2017 remittance amounted to $1.723 billion compared with November 2017.
